Your Kind Dog Trainer
Hi, I’m Neha – your kind, force-free dog trainer in Cherrybrook
Hi, I’m Neha. I help busy individuals and families with young kids raise calm, well-rounded dogs without the overwhelm. If you’re dealing with jumping, nipping, pulling, or just don’t know where to start, I’ll show you what to do step by step so small issues don’t turn into lifelong habits.
My journey with animals began in India, where I volunteered with stray dog rescues, fostered injured dogs, and helped with adoption camps. That experience shaped my belief that training should always be rooted in patience, clarity, and kindness.
Dog training isn't just about teaching dogs—it's about helping people understand what to do, why it works, and how to apply those skills in everyday life.
Before becoming a full-time dog trainer, I spent 12 years working in financial services compliance, where I learned how to break down complex information into clear, practical steps. I also completed a two-year fellowship with Teach For India, teaching children from diverse backgrounds and adapting my approach to different learning styles. I bring those same teaching skills to dog training, making learning simple, achievable and enjoyable for both people and their dogs.
Today, I run The Kind Animal Collective full time. I also volunteer as Chief Instructor at my local dog training club, where I help dogs and their guardians through positive, reward-based training.
Our Training Philosophy
We believe training should be practical, kind, and easy to follow in real life. We are firm believers in the power of positive reinforcement methods. We use clicker training to communicate with dogs, help build confidence, and strengthen the relationship between dogs and their people.
We focus on training that fits into your routine rather than adding more pressure. Our goal is to make training something you enjoy doing with your dog, not something that feels confusing or overwhelming.
Everything we do is designed to help you feel confident, supported, and clear on what to do. Our goal is simple: to help you enjoy living with your dog by giving you practical skills that work in everyday life.
